Financial Aid
The International School of Kigali (ISK) is committed to providing a high-quality education to students of all backgrounds. We believe that diversity and inclusion are essential to a successful learning environment, and we are committed to making our school accessible to all students, regardless of their financial circumstances.
To that end, ISK offers a financial aid program to help families afford a quality education for their children. The program is designed to allow economic diversity by accepting students from families with varying financial abilities. Additionally, ISK aims to increase enrollment in HS.
Criteria of eligibility
The following are the candidates that would be allowed to apply for a Financial Aid:
A. Rwandan and non-Rwandan families
B. New applicants at ISK- without academic or disciplinary issues in previous schools
C. ISK returning families experiencing unexpected financial hardships
D. For students in HS:

Maintain a cumulative 2.0 grade point average

Minimum progress requires to earn 70% of all cumulative credit hours attempted.

Make progress towards ISK HS diploma each year
Requirements:
A. An application to ISK must be completed first and the student accepted to ISK.
B. The family to apply for financial aid

Business owning family
- Financial statements (certified by an external auditor) : balance sheet and income statement of the business(es)
2. For Employees:
- Present proof of current contract duration signed by the employer ( the contract should have a minimum duration of one year - based on ISK school calendar year) to ensure coverage of the child’s academic year. - from both parents (if applicable) or legal guardians.
- Presenting the past 4 months salary payslips.
C. How much aid is available
Up to 50% of full tuition : this changes based on each year’s family income updates.
D. Process for being selected

The ISK Financial Aid committee will run the application process in April for application in the following school year 24/25.

The family submits an application along with accompanying documentation

A personal interview with the applicant’s family

A visit to the home may be required - if the committee deems necessary
E. Financial Aid committee members:
- The ISK HOS
- Finance committee members
- ISK Finance manager
F. Award availability : Up to 50% of Financial Aid
G. Award and Duration: The award is annual and each family should apply every school year.
