Appropriate Ages for Grade Placement
ISK uses a September 1st cut-off date to determine the age-appropriate grade level for children. The school will not normally accept any student who would be over the age of nineteen at the time of graduation. The Director may make exceptions to these requirements based on previous educational experience.

Students enter ISK from a variety of educational backgrounds. We will review school records, consider birthdate, and conduct entrance screenings to determine the child's placement. With school records, we will conditionally accept the child into a certain grade, and conduct screenings on arrival to be sure they can be successful.
Generally, ISK will not accept students into grade 12 after the beginning of the academic year unless there are extenuating circumstances.
All school records, in English, are required prior to acceptance. If necessary, placement assessments may also be required.
