There are three discounts available for our families.

➔ Early Payment Discount: All who pay in full for the coming year prior to the 1st of May will receive a 2% discount on the tuition fee, including fees associated with additional support services. The Annual Capital Levy is excluded from the discount.

➔ Sibling Discount: Families with two or more children enrolled at ISK receive a 15% tuition discount on the second and each additional child. The discount applies automatically to the portion of tuition paid by the family and will be credited to the Semester II invoice. This discount is only available for those who pay the fees personally (not a company or organization). If an employer pays a portion of the tuition, the discount would apply to the portion the family is responsible for. Proof of self-payment is required. The discount only applies to the tuition fees, not the capital levy, enrollment, or learning support fees.

➔ Five-for-Five Discount: Available to those who commit to five years at ISK. Each of the five years will be discounted $5,000 per year, per child. Recipients of this discount are not eligible or the Sibling Discount. Terms and conditions apply.

1. Application fee (new students ONLY)

The application fee of $175 is a one-time fee assessed when a student first registers at ISK and is separate from tuition fees. It is non-refundable and paid upon submission of the application documents.

2. Enrollment Fee (new students ONLY)

One-time fee USD $3,000.00 per student (with a fee of USD $5,000.00 per family) shall be levied (on top of any application and tuition fees) for new students enrolling in Grades KG-12 for the 2026 - 2027 school year. This fee contributes directly to the budget for major capital development projects. This fee is due at the time of the first tuition payment and may be consolidated into the payment plan for tuition fees.

3. Deposit Upon Admission (New Students)

An initial deposit of USD $1,000.00 per newly admitted student is payable within 14 days after an offer of admission is made. If payment is not done within 14 days, the student will be placed on the waitlist and their place may be offered to other students.

The deposit will be applied to the tuition fees. However, it is non-refundable and non-transferrable should the family cancel the admission or not physically arrive in Kigali after the place was offered.

In order to reserve a seat at ISK, a deposit of USD $2,000.00 per student is due by 1 May 2026, to reserve a place for the next school year. Re-enrollment deposits are non-refundable, but are applied to the tuition fees. Disregard the seat deposit expectation if the tuition fees are paid in full by May.

The school prides itself on meeting the needs of a broad spectrum of learners. If students require additional support beyond what may be capably provided by a classroom teacher, we have two additional layers of support. They follow:

A Specialized Learning Space

In order to Create Access to Valuable Education for students with IEPs and needing significant levels of support not found in a mainstream classroom, a self-contained classroom (Silverback CAVE) was created to ensure high quality service.

In this space, students benefit from a fully modified curriculum which is delivered at an additional fee of USD $5,000.00 per student per year.

Note: If a student is enrolled in the CAVE and needs a shadow teacher, only the shadow teacher fee will be paid.

Shadow Teacher Fees (1:1 Aide)

Students with Special Education needs that require a one-to-one shadow teacher will pay an extra fee of  $9,600.

After School Activities and Athletics fees

ISK is committed to expanding and delivering excellent After School Activities. All participating students pay a fee aligned with the activities the students participate in.

ISK offers a semester payment plan. All payment plans include an administrative fee of USD $500.00per student, covering the school’s opportunity cost of not investing those funds for the first semester.

Payment for the first semester must be made on the first (1st) business day of August. Payment for the second (2nd) semester must be made before January 15.

Other payment plans are negotiable. Inquire with finance@iskr.org.

Late Payments

Unless a prior agreement is made, all late payments will be subject to late penalties of 2% of the remaining balance. Non-payment of tuition may result in the withdrawal of a student from ISK two weeks after the payment deadline.

Late Admissions

Any student admitted in the first eight weeks of the school year will pay full tuition for the academic year. Any student admitted after the first eight weeks, will pay prorated tuition based on the number of weeks (or partial weeks) enrolled plus the full application fee and capital development fee.

Short-term Admissions

Students who are enrolled for a discrete period of time, i.e. where students begin and end their stay at ISK within a single academic year, of less than 28 weeks will pay prorated tuition fees along with the full application and capital development fees. There will be no refund should the student leave earlier than the date initially agreed upon. Students who are enrolled for a discrete period of time (i.e. one semester admissions, etc.) will pay prorated tuition fees appropriate for the term of enrollment along with the full application and capital development fees.

Refunds

ISK recognizes that plans may change for families and they may need to move. Unattended semesters will be refunded fully.

No refunds will be processed for a partially attended semester.
